Client red flags – the 7 signs you need to uplevel your clients

This morning I’ve been thinking about client red flags. Sometimes, when you’ve been in business for a while, relationships with clients can get a bit stale. You feel a bit of dread when you see their name flash up on your phone, or the terms of business aren’t great, or there’s just a bit of stickiness around the relationship.

Or maybe you’re in a scrappy phase of your business. You’re fighting to keep going, and build up, and quite frankly are grateful for any client you can get right now.

Maybe you’ve just forgotten the dream, why you went into business in the first place, and who it is you love helping and working with?

Today, I want to call out some red flags, so here are 7 signs that you need to uplevel your clients

1)      You see their name in your calendar and inwardly groan

2)      They’re a taker. They always ask for more than is included in your service, and trample on your boundaries, and you’re too nice to say no

3)      They’re paying your old prices, and you don’t feel able to upgrade them to your new structure

4)      They don’t listen, or take your advice or implement your excellent strategies. So of course they don’t get optimum results, and you worry they’ll complain or ask for a refund

5)      They don’t honour appointments. They’re always late, or have a last minute excuse or crisis

6)      They’re lovely, they’re just not right for you. Maybe their goals have evolved, or they’re not a good fit for what you offer anymore

7)      Your Spidey-senses are tingling about them. You can’t quite put your finger on why, but your intuition is telling you it’s not a good match for you

And now you’re aware of them, the question is, what are you going to do about it?

One totally awesome, transformative, inspired action option is to come join my Client Connection Challenge in a couple of weeks. It’s a free coaching series. I’m going to be delivering live training Monday to Friday, on how to attract and partner with your dream clients, the ones who light you up. The ones who you get a frisson of excitement when you see their name pop up on your screen at 10pm.

If you’ve seen this, and it’s resonated, I would love to save you a spot. Just follow the link to find out more and register
