Are you a female business owner driving yourself nuts with procrastinating?
When you run a business, there are always a million different demands on your time, many many legitimate ways you could spend your day.
However, if you are really really honest, there is probably some stuff that you know you should be doing, that you’ve been putting off.
This is how to actually do the thing, rather than get to the end of yet another day, feeling frustrated with yourself.
Step 1
Get out of your head and into your body.
Figure out whether you actually want to do the thing OR whether everything in your energy is screaming no – it’s just something you feel you should be doing.
And if you’re really honest, you don’t really want to.
Step 2
If you don’t really want to, give yourself permission to do something else.
Pick something else that’s equally as valuable, but feels better to you, more aligned.
(You didn’t go into business to have a horrible time)
Step 3
Get discerning. Truth time. Figure out whether it’s that you don’t want to do the thing OR are you scared of doing it.
And if you’re scared, it’s usually because your Imposter is in the driving seat.
Fear of failure, fear of success, fear of rejection, fear of getting it wrong and looking stupid.
Step 4
Get clarity on where you are blocking yourself. Are you self-sabotaging? Are you stuck in a perfectionist loop? Are you numbing and distracting yourself with doom scrolling or crisps?
Don’t spend too long here – get clear, forgive yourself compassionately, move on.
Step 5
Once you have this self-awareness, remind yourself of WHY you are doing this in the first place.
Start dreaming. Visualise yourself having completed the thing, 100% successfully; you’ve smashed it. Revel in that glory, in that flush of success.
The vision must be greater than your fear, it’s got to be compelling enough to push through the discomfort

Step 6
Once you are feeling that energy, of the woman who has already done it and smashed it, ask for some advice.
What would she do if she were in your shoes?
How could she get started?
What’s one tiny baby step she would advise you to go today?
Step 7
Go do it.
Step 8
Celebrate. Even if it was one miniscule action, just to break the seal, celebrate and revel and bask in your amazingness like crazy.
a) This releases oxytocin and dopamine, you’ll feel awesome
b) It also creates a chain of evidence, so that tomorrow, it’ll be so much easier to crack on and do the thing
